Tio Pepe 'En Rama' is Fino in its purest form - unfitered, un-clarified and drawn from the middle of the cask during the Spring, when the 'flor' growth on the wine is at its thickest. A strictly limited release, and for only the second time (the first being last year to celebrate 175 years of Gonzalez Byass and sold out within ten days), this is a sherry in it most natural and delicate state, harking back to the days when sherry was drawn straight... CONTRABANDISTA Amontillado Medium Dry Valdespino

Aged eight years under a natural layer of 'flor' yeast, and given a further eight years of 'oxidative' ageing prior to being blended with a small amount of Pedro Ximenez before bottling. This superior Amontillado is intense with notes of caramel and toffee, roasted hazelnuts and a touch of raisin sweetness. Darker and fuller than the Tio Diego through the addition of must and PX. Rich, full and textured with a bitter sweet finish.

'Calle Ponche' is the name of one of Jerez's oldest streets, where Valdespino had one of their bodegas and the solera for this Palo Cortado Viejo was first created. The solera has been kept alive over the years by steadily refreshing the younger casks from a careful selection of barrels containing exceptional quality Inocente. Impossible to put an exact age of the wine, but estimated to be about twenty-five years and more, this solera is also used... (more info)
