| 2012 CHÂTEAU SÉNÉJAC Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Haut Médoc | |
| 75cl bottles, case of 12
Good and harmonious. Not massive, but what it has is pretty sweetness and delicacy of flavours. Lovely. Long and harmonious. From 2016. 89 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU CAMBON LA PELOUSE Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Haut Médoc | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
Tasted twice in Bordeaux and both times this impressed. 52% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot. Nice toasty oak on nose and some good gentle spice. This starts with great gloss and richness to the fruit, plummy and nice warm spice. Creamy, a bit modern and oaky, but the fruit is there and will absorb this. Well structured and lovely depth - finishes good and long with very fine tannin. Attractive and promising. 90 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU CAPBERN GASQUETON Saint Estèphe | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot. This wine opened the low-key but very impressive tasting at Chateau Calon Segur. Pretty red-fruited nose, quite bright and floral. Palate more serious lovely power and push at core. This is poised and classy stuff. Beautiful balance, recommended. 88 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU LA GURGUE Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Margaux | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
Another Margaux success here, There is a lovely opulent attack of well-ripened fruit - not thick - but a silky richness. Great dark spice and a touch of cedar and high-grade chocolate on the dark spicy finish. |

| 2012 CONNÉTABLE TALBOT du Château Talbot Saint Julien | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
I normally recommend Fiefs de Lagrange as a solid banker of a second wine in Saint Julien, but found that this year it was rather trounced by the supple juicy ripeness of Connétable. This, like the first wine, has good flesh and succulence and comes recommended very highly to those with cellars to put it in. |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU BELGRAVE 5ème Cru Classé Haut Médoc | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
Classical stuff. Dark colour, rich, quite compact Cabernet with a sweet support of ripe Merlot. Quite intense, a little drying on finish. 89 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU CHASSE SPLEEN Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Moulis-en-Médoc | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
Purple and bight, with expressive juicy raspberry-edged blackcurrant fruit throughout, creamy texture, medium-body, sappy tannins giving a good close-textured feel and good length - a real success in the vintage. 90 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU LES ORMES DE PEZ Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Saint Estèphe | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. This is the lowest % of Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1999). Delicate and elegant on the nose. Soft and rich on the attack - really quite high-toned for the vintage. This is poised, intense and long. A grown-up feel to it, with some quite granular but attractive tannin. A touch of saline too. A success from St Estèphe which has produced some good wines in the vintage. 90 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU FERRIÈRE 3ème Cru Classé Margaux | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
Nice nose, discreet but inviting. Bright fruit, in mouth this is perky and fun. Lively and tasty bright fruit, good spice and no hard edges but importantly not too fat - a ray of sunshine in the extensive vintage line up at Ulysse Cazabonne's brilliant tasting. |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU LAFON ROCHET 4ème Cru Classé Saint Estèphe Château Lafon-Rochet | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
Ripe, ripe fruit on attack, then some gloriously fine tannin. This has an intensity of good extraction and lovely drive. Lovely spice and ripe, dark plumminess. Great effort. |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU TALBOT 4ème Cru Classé Saint Julien | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
I tasted this well - really very well. It stood out amongst its peers with a glossy dark colour, ripe fruit nose and supple, succulent palate. Very much in the Talbot idiom, a Cabernet flavour which is strong on blackcurrant, a touch of sweetness rare in the vintage, and a really rather gorgeous fleshy feel, and good juice-filled length too. Top Talbot. 92 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU CALON SÉGUR 3ème Cru Classé Saint Estèphe | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
&8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot. 13.5%. Harvested starting 1st October as opposed to 3rd September in 2011. Fantastic black fruit depth, mineral, salty, gourmand and appetising. No shortage of guts but has a sweet appeal too - very pure. 92 |

| 2012 CHÂTEAU LYNCH BAGES 5ème Cru Classé Pauillac | |
| 75cl bottles, wood case of 12
71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. Limpid ruby to purple. Quite a quiet nose of firm ripe cabernet and darker pencil-box, classic dry stuff. Sweet fruit edge in the attack. Supple, smooth dry volume of fine tannins holds the palate well with a light grip, 'lubricated' by the fruit sweetness. It's a nice balance and has grand linear purity. 93 |
