2008 VERNACCIA DI SAN GIMIGNANO Cesani
| Grapes: Vernaccia | Origin: Italy, Tuscany |
Lea & Sandeman review
Smoky on the nose, this is followed by juicy, fruity and aromatic fruit. A touch of sweetness on the mid-palate is followed by an appealing and refreshing bitter twist on the finish.Other reviews and comments
Clean, characterful and balanced – a good example of Tuscany's best-known white wine with a typical nutty flavour and enticingly fresh, herby, lime fruit. Good with all sorts of fish and antipasti, but a pretty versatile wine with a lot of dishes.

Cesani
Letizia Cesani's vineyards have spectacular views across the plains to San Gimignano and far beyond. Her Vernacchia is always a great success, and unlike the norm ages well a year or two in bottle. Her reds are acclaimed as among the best in the region.
