2008 HERRINGBONE HILLS Pinot Noir
Marlborough South Island New Zealand
From Marlborough at the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island – this juicy, up-front Pinot delivers lovely, plump red fruit and tasty black pepper spice. The glossy sheen stops well short of jamminess and this makes a delightful – excellent value Pinot Noir. A rare treat in a sea of charmless, sweet, thick 'fruit-soups' usually found at this level.

2010 CANTERBURY Pinot Noir The Crater Rim
Waipara South Island New Zealand
Back in stock after a momentary hiatus. From now on the Crater Rim 'Canterbury' Pinot is sourced from basalt soils on the peninsula formed by one side of the 'crater rim' itself of the huge volcano in Waipara. A slightly broader, denser style than the 2009, it is full and long on the finish.

2006 WOODTHORPE Syrah Te Mata
Hawkes Bay North Island New Zealand
Single vineyard Gamay, partly made using 'maceration carbonique' to give fruit and floral aromas, and with a depth and ripeness of fruit that makes it very drinkable either on its own or with spicy food.

2010 GIBBSTON Pinot Noir The Crater Rim
Central Otago South Island New Zealand
Crater Rim's Central Otago Pinot is a fuller bodied style with a good dollop of oak, but still far from being an oaky fruit bomb. Packed with raspberry fruit and mocha it is very attractive indeed.

2009 PINOT NOIR Two Rivers of Marlborough
Marlborough South Island New Zealand
Bright Pinot with good fruit, this breaks the Marlborough mould of just being fat and oaky, with a more serious precise edge to it - earthiness, spice, elegance and freshness that make it very drinkable indeed.

2008 GIMBLETT GRAVELS Syrah Trinity Hill
Hawkes Bay North Island New Zealand
Full bodied but very drinkable Syrah, with just a hint of Viognier to lend freshness to the blend.

2010 PINOT NOIR Awatere Selection Two Rivers of Marlborough
Marlborough South Island New Zealand
Bright Pinot with good fruit, this breaks the Marlborough mould of just being fat and oaky, with a more serious precise edge to it, though a touch richer than the 2009. Still still has the earthiness, spice, elegance and freshness that makes it very drinkable indeed.

2009 GLADSTONE VINEYARD Pinot Noir
Wairarapa North Island New Zealand
A slight step back in time with this vintage after the impressive ripeness of the 2008, this is still in the roundly opulent style of Gladstone but in its freshness and precision harks back to the 2006 and 2007. Lovely pure juicy aromatics and a sweet purity of fruit on the long palate too.

2008 BLACK ESTATE Pinot Noir
Waipara South Island New Zealand
A very fine Pinot with lovely tight structure not unlike one of Francois Lumpp's Premier Cru Givrys but with a hint of New World ripe fruit. Fermented using wild yeasts and left on the skins for almost a month prior to pressing and tranferring to barrel.

2009 BLACK ESTATE Pinot Noir
Waipara South Island New Zealand
Deep colour, taut, dusty, berry fruit nose, a feel that is lush and creamy, kept in a neat balance buy a long, dry wild berry fruitiness which has just the right level of subtle astringency. Already supple enough to enjoy, this should develop nicely over a year or two.

2010 FELTON ROAD Pinot Noir Bannockburn
Central Otago South Island New Zealand
Another fabulous Pinot in this vintage and although terribly young (Felton Road release wines much earlier than Rippon) very drinkable for all it bright strawberry fruit, but seriuos enough too with depth and structure.
