We were introduced to this young estate in the northern region of Caserta, Campania by our dear, old friend (and wonderful winemaker) Piero Lanza from Poggerino in Chianti. Located at the foot of the spectacular, but thankfully inactive volcano of Roccamonfina, Diana and Mario are making a range of very exciting wines in a beautifully expressive way. The combination of their adherence to strict Bio-dynamic farming principles, the wonderful volcanic soils and the use of amphora to ferment and age most of their wines result in distinctive, pure wines that really sing. From just 6 acres of vines these passionate winemakers are producing something both intriguing and beguiling and above all delicious!
