Barnaut
When Edmond Barnaut married in 1874, he created this marque with his own and his wife's vineyards. Since 1985 the fifth generation has been in charge with Philippe Secondé making well-aged Champagnes (five years average for the Grande Réserve) which are very representative of the full-bodied style of Bouzy - the excellent Pinot Noir of the village's Grand Cru Vineyards providing the backbone (2/3) of the Grande Réserve and all of the Blanc de Noirs.

A big, full-blown, powerful blanc de noirs (100% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru vineyards of Bouzy), which nevertheless retains a balance and freshness along with its considerable vinosity. Rated even higher than Bollinger by Bob (Parker) this is exceptional value!

Pinot Meunier 20%, Pinot Noir 40%, Chardonnay 40%. This cuvée was first created to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the estate, and named after the founder, Edmond Barnaut. The Pinot Meunier, from the Marne valley, is a nod to the original blends made by the founder.
