2010 ARUMA Bodegas Caro
Mendoza Argentina
Pure Malbec from Mendoza. Ruby to purple, deep bright colour. Pure bright cherry fruit on a nose which conveys a soft fullness as well. The fleshy softness is the main impression in the mouth, at least to begin with, but the fruit has added spice and crunch. Fine-grained tannins extend the finish with this cherry-skin feel. Quite chunky but the brightness makes it really interesting and drinkable. Will certainly keep out some of the February chill.
