Château La Hase
Owned by Jean-Yves Millaire, Château La Hase is a tiny one hectare property with 45 year old vines (60 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Franc, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon) which is treated like a grand cru - ploughing rather than weedkillers, crop-thinning, hand-picking, and the wine aged ten months in French oak. The parcel is named 'La Hase' meaning a female hare in honour of M. Millare's grandfather, who initiated him in the art of hunting.

Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur Bordeaux France
Chateau La Hase is a very well placed property growing predominantly Merlot grapes - and the 2009 is packed with crisp and fresh fruit, with surprisingly deep rich notes – smooth and easy – but by no means is it overly simple.!
