Château Meyney
Chateau Meyney in St. Estephe has a long history starting in the 17th century. At that time, the Bordeaux wine estate belonged to the monks who planted the first vines at Meyney. The 123 acre Bordeaux wine vineyard with vines averaging between 35 and 40 years old is planted to 61% cabernet sauvignon, 26% merlot, 3% cabernet franc and 10% Petit verdot. The gravel based terroir has a large streak of blue clay close to three metres thick.

Left Bank Bordeaux France
Soft. Quite advanced if style. Good weight, but a bit soulless. Not really showing Saint Estephe character - or enough definition. Given the ambitions of the owners as announced a few years back, this is a bit disappointing.
Left Bank Bordeaux France
Very dark fruit expression, sloes, damsons, blueberry. A slightly blunt attack, the palate very round and sweet-tasting. Full and very attractive, with sophisticated tannins on the finish.
