Nittnaus
Hans Nittnaus was introduced to us by Bert Salomon, and we love his red wines. No attempt here to make international wines from foreign grape varieties, which is not what we were looking for from Austria. These are indigenous wines reflecting the 'terroir' of the region. He is undoubtedly a supremely fine red wine maker, and is now following biodynamic practices which will lead to official certification from the 2007 vintage.

Burgenland Austria
An indigenous variety that shares some similarities with Pinot Noir, for its early ripening, thin skins and pale colour. Lightly aromatic with ripe juice and bright acidity this is a delicious lighter bodied wine.
Burgenland Austria
Half-bottles
A sublime sweet wine in that it is richly textured, packed with sweet citrus and tropical fruit, and all offset by a wonderful balance of acidity. As close to being as perfect as a sweet wine can ever be (think Yquem...).
