Salomon Undhof
Founded in 1792 SALOMON UNDHOF is a wine estate with a long tradition. The Salomon family from the Wachau produces white wines from the best terraced "Urgestein" sites along the Danube River in Stein and Krems. Today Bert and Gertrud Salomon run the winery.
The famous Riesling of the estate thrives on the topsites of Kögl and Pfaffenberg. The Grüner Veltliner Von Stein comes from the steep terrassed hills behind the old town of Stein. The best "loess" soils provide the Lindberg and Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner. All the grapes are harvested traditionally by hand only. Their great vineyard locations and meticulous work in the vineyards are prerequisites for their elegant wines. Wines with finesse and perfect mineral balance reflect the very special micro climate of this lovely river valley. The Estate’s Grüner Veltliner and Riesling distinguish themselves through elegance and consistency.

Kremstal Austria
Bright Gruner with a good dollop of fruit, fresh white pepper and crunchy acidity, all in all making it fabulous value too.
Kremstal Austria
Grown on loess-terraced vines rented from the Provost of Krems (originally gifted to the church in 1014 by Emperor Henri II), and made in a racy and very dry style that is in keeping with the traditional 'Messwein' used for religious celebrations.
Kremstal Austria
This is a beautifully balanced dry Riesling with a hint of aromatic fruit and balanced by crunchy minerality. Perfect aperitif and would accompany grilled and shellfish so well.
Kremstal Austria
A dazzling example of Gruner Veltliner in its finest and most drinkable form. Wonderfully expressive with such clarity and mineral acidity it is the perfect foil to smoked salmon, as well as being one of the most palate lifting wines in our range.
Kremstal Austria
Half-bottles
Distilled from apricots grown in the Wachau region to the west of Vienna. Such is the quality of fruit in the area that apricots grown in the Wachau have EU protection in the same way as grapes, and products made from the apricots – be they jams, strudels, cakes or, as in this case, spirits – enjoy similar EU protection to wines. This is beautifully textured with a real expression of fruit and is far from being the usual firey 'eaux de vie'.
