2001 PAVILLON ROUGE du Château Margaux
2001 PAVILLON ROUGE du Château Margaux
| Grapes: Cabernet Franc Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon | Origin: France, Bordeaux |
Lea & Sandeman review
64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Pavillon represents just over half the production. Its succulent fruit is the purest expression of sexy smoothness - it has a crisp freshness in it fruit aromas, but more than that it has a gorgeous swallowable balance.Other reviews and comments
Excellent balance along with copious quantities of sweet black cherry and cassis fruit are found in the 2001 Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux. Light to medium-bodied, with a style similar to its bigger sister, but neither the concentration nor length, it should be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years. 2004-2012
