A lightweight wine that is beginning to fade, this 2003 reveals notes of licorice, roasted herbs, loamy soil and washed-out red currants. St.-Estephe offerings tended to be impressive in 2003, but not this one. Drink now
82 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, www.eRobertParker.com (Aug 2014)
More restrained than some of its Saint Estèphe peers, this offering exhibits a deep saturated ruby/plum/purple colour as well as a sweet nose of black fruits and earth, medium body, decent acidity, fine flesh, and good follow through on the palate. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc, it will drink well for ten years.
