Other reviews and comments
Quite muted on the nose. Broody. Soft entry, very ripe supple Merlot. The mid-palate builds nicely with well-integrated tannins. Blackberry and raspberry. Very classy and elegant with a silky texture. Excellent. Tasted April 2005.   92-94/100

The crushed rock-like terroir character of this tiny, but fabulous vineyard is unmistakable in the 2004 Clos St.-Martin. Sweet plum, cherry, and wet stone characteristics also emerge from this beauty that tastes like liquid rocks intermixed with red and black fruits. Medium-bodied with excellent definition, an elegant personality, and terrific purity as well as length, the 2004 is more forward than most vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.   90+
