From the widely released 2004 harvest, this points up all the qualities of this generally forward and attractive vintage. A 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir blend, it's now deliciously toasty with a sherbet lift, and noticeably opens up in the glass after a few minutes. (Giles Fallowfield recommends). Evocative of finely cut crystal, this offers a firm backbone of acidity structuring refined texture and a lovely blend of apricot, brioche, acacia blossom, black cherry and crystallized honey, with a firm, mouthwatering finish.
