"Sous bois (undergrowth) and fraise de bois" says Claude, succulent and sweet-tasting fruit, lovely quality of tannins, lovely juice filled finish.Other reviews and comments

Light simple crimson. Light sweet attractive nose. Firm spine running through it with still quite marked tannins. A little more severe than the Senard version. Should get there eventually. Very fresh, brisk finish. 2012-20

They have 4 different blocks in the big sweep of the cru, so it is a good representation of the vineyard as a whole. The vines are 20-60 years old. This has a funky aroma with hint of truffle and mushroom. It's interesting and Claude tells me it never goes to animal with age; it always keeps the fruit. While the aroma is attractively intriguing, the palate is more conventional. Tight, yet integrated, finely compact and with well harnessed power. A purposeful wine but it also has elegance linked to freshness, and a long tapering finish. Fine to very fine. From 2013/14
