Lea & Sandeman review
A really rather disconcerting change of register after all the Cote de Nuits wines, but fine it its style, a broad and fleshy fruit with power in the mid-palate.Other reviews and comments
Ripe blue fruit aroma, quite intense. Sweet on the attack and perhsps a little clunky at first, but it picks up energy and a more streamlined profile and packs in some good dark fruit. Plenty of tannins, which are black and coal-tarry. There is a lovely firm, dark pencil-lead minerality on the finish. Fair acidity, not too low. This really plays to the strengths of the vintage. Very good. From 2010

A completely different nose as here the pungently earthy red berry fruit has a hint of iron though this too is very fresh and bright with big, robust and muscular flavors that are more introverted and brooding than any of those of the prior wines and are supported by ripe but mouth coating and rustic tannins. Patience required. 2014+
