Lea & Sandeman review
This barrel fermented Chardonnay, produced from a 0.9 hectare plot in the Eden Valley, is amazingly well balanced and focussed. It is oaked, but not oaky, and has a remarkable texture with positive juice and great length. The flavours are not the usual exotic mix of tropical fruits, but more restrained with mineral notes combined with lemons, limes and a hint of grapefruit.Other reviews and comments
The 2006 Trial Hill Chardonnay is also from Eden Valley fruit. The nose offers smoky cashews, mineral, white peach, melon, and a hint of tropical fruits. In the mouth it is medium to full-bodied with mineral notes entwined with crisp citrus and pit fruit flavors in its supple-textured personality. The wine has good depth but narrows slightly in the finish. Drink this stylish Chardonnay over the next 4-5 years.

Pale medium colour. Intense tropical fruit/ pear skin/ melon/ apricot aromas with some grilled nut complexity. Well concentrated wine with peachy/ herb garden flavours, savoury new oak and creamy mid-palate richness. Finishes tangy and oaky dry.
Andrew Caillard MW
Very skillfully made: seamless nectarine and white peach fruit and oak; citrussy acidity.
