2006 VINO NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO Bossona Riserva Dei
2006 VINO NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO Bossona Riserva Dei
| Grapes: Prugnolo Gentile | Origin: Italy, Tuscany |
Lea & Sandeman review
A rich savoury nose (almost marmite), richly tannic with masses of silky fruit and great length this has massive potential. Tannic and young, but totally not aggressive and with absolutely no discernabale oak, this is a lovely and exceptional expression of Sangiovese.Other reviews and comments
The 2006 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Bossona is a dark, full-throttle wine loaded with jammy dark fruit, smoke, tar and earthiness. This shows considerable richness and density at the outset, but the wine settles down nicely over time, turning more and more elegant in the glass. The 2006 Bossona needs several hours of aeration for all of the elements to come together. It is a beautiful Vino Nobile from Dei. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.

Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
Very concentrated deep red with orange rim, sweet fruit core with a touch of orange skin and a dusting of cocoa. Very generous without being heavy. Almost completely integrated acidity. Very well balanced and with lots of appetising tannin. Touch warm, but great length. 2012-2022
