The 2007 Barolo Vigneto Rocche dazzles from start to finish with intricate layers of perfumed fruit that build in the glass. Juicy red cherries, French oak, tar and licorice emerge over time, adding further complexity. The wine’s considerable concentration pairs beautifully with the classic silky Rocche tannins. With a little more refined cooperage this might have been an utterly mind-blowing wine; the purity of the fruit is that profound.
