Lea & Sandeman review
50-98 year-old vines. A tiny touch reductive, which hardens it up at present. Firm, a real core of steel hidden in the lush black cassis fruit. Lots going on, complex, powerful and long.Other reviews and comments
(from vines between 50 and 98 years of age, cropped at 24 hectoliters per hectare) Good ruby-red. Wild blackberry, cassis and mint on the nose. Moderately sweet but nicely ripe, with well-integrated acidity giving this village wine a distinctly taut character that's refreshing in a 2007. Not as sweet or large-scaled as the Evocelles but more powerful and energetic. Finishes with a solid kick of tannins.
89-92/100
