Classified as a 'Crianza', only so as to comply with regulation, this is Bodegas Ruconia's 'selection', or 'Alta Espression' as they used to call it. All from their oldest and best vines. Rich in fruit and soft oak tannins, this is quite full on.Other reviews and comments
Fine aromatic blend of blend of Mazuelo, Graciano and Tempranillo with classic smoky vanillin and coconut oak undertones, a voluptuously fruited red with juicy cassis-like fruitiness substantially framed by oak and rounded out by supple tannins, finishing balanced and fresh, a serious modern Rioja with good concentration of fruit that's just starting to drink now, but with a good three to five years of age on it
