A 'Cordier Club Elite' wine and a classic Margaux. 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, with eighteen months in mostly new (90%) 'barriques', this is a richly textured wine of some structure. Approachable now, this will age well over the next decade. L&S (Jan 2011)

Château Pouget
Margaux Quatrième cru 1855 The name of this less well-known estate derives from the Pouget family who owned the estate in the 18th and 19th Centuries. It is now owned by Pierre Guillemet, who also owns the near-by Château Boyd-Cantenac. Unusually, there was no residence at Pouget until the latter years of the 19th Century, when the front of the cellar was converted into living quarters. The 17ha of vineyard are divided between 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The second wine is called Château La Tour Massac.
