Haskell vineyard's top Shiraz. Rich and ripe but not too much of a blockbuster.

Glue and a touch of mulberry on the nose. Mocha. Concentrated and inky. Liquorice and aniseed with real warmth and clench. Thick deep-pile tannins. Very warm. Beautifully ripe, sculpted, dark fruit. Mulberries, a dab of dark chocolate, some wild spice and just a bit of dried thyme. Savoury. Hint of meatiness to come. A lovely dry finish. Very rich. That tea leaf on the finish again.   17/20
