2008 CANTERBURY Pinot Noir The Crater Rim
| Grapes: Pinot Noir |
Origin: New Zealand, South Island |
Lea & Sandeman review
Sourced from two low cropping vineyards around the Canterbury region, 'The Croft Vineyard' in Burham and 'Fraher Vineyard' in Waipara. De-stemmed and fermented in open top wooden fermenters, and aged in second and third year oak barrels for eleven months. Aromas of violets, smoke and red berry fruits. On the palate fresh red berries and an earthy note, with fine, ripe tannins and a moderately powerful finish.
