    Lea & Sandeman review
Yet again Eric Duffau's early-ripening terroir has produced a wine with deep colour, rich, fleshy fruit and lovely weight. This is a Paris and Bordeaux gold medal winner.

The Duffau family have been making Bordeaux at Chateau Belle Garde since 1850. The 46 acres of vines are dotted around on different parcels of land with varying soil types (clay-limestone, clay and gravel and sandy gravel). The majority of the land is situated on the south facing hillside in front of Saint-Emilion. The vines planted for claret are 80% merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Visit Website
