Unquestionably a sleeper of the vintage, the opaque plum/ruby/purple-tinged 2008 d’Aiguilhe reveals abundant notes of licorice, fruitcake, black currants and kirsch, sweet tannin, a round, generous texture and impressive purity as well as length. It should be enjoyed over the next 6-8 years. Drinking range: 2011 - 2019 Rating: 90 L&S (May 2011)
