2008 CHÂTEAU L'ENCLOS Pomerol

2008 CHÂTEAU L'ENCLOS Pomerol

Grapes: Cabernet Franc  Cabernet Sauvignon  Merlot  Origin: France, Bordeaux
Lea & Sandeman review
Perfect for drinking now, this already maturing Pomerol is fruit-forward, medium bodied and packed with ripe, velvety tannins. Notes of sweet kirsch liqueur abound.

Other reviews and comments
It is good to see this property on the rebound as I have fond memories of some of their older vintages (I drank several cases of their gorgeous 1982). The 2008's sweet kirsch liqueur intermixed with sandy, loamy soil and licorice undertones are presented in a fruit-forward, precocious, sensual format with medium body, ripe fruit, beautiful density, good freshness, and velvety tannins. Consume it during its first 10-12 years of life.   87-89

POMEROL

Ever popular with its plump plummy Merlot enriched fruit, there just isn't enough Pomerol to go round. Fortunately, we have saved a case for you...We may have thrown in a few Lalande-de-Pomerols too - it's not cheating, the best Lalande's carry the classic Pomerol stamp and can offer rather better value for money.
