Lea & Sandeman review
Produced from a mere 18 Hl/ha after sorting. A nose which is quite 'straight', recalls the excellent 2004 of this cuvée. A touch of coal-tar and woodsmoky depth, enough tannin to firm up the dried herb and juicy berry fruit. All silky and well-managed, can be drunk from now.Other reviews and comments
Ratcheting the heat-factor up a notch, the 2008 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition, Domaine Giraud, brings young Rhône's typically muscle-bound spicy, juicy plum and raspberry fruit and peppery opulence.
Anthony Rose, The Independent
The deep ruby-colored 2008 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits abundant fruit, garrigue, licorice, and spice characteristics, medium to full body, and surprising concentration for this vintage.

Big and sweet and sinewy. Lots of polish. So different from the supermarket Châteauneuf offerings! Tingly despite the alcohol. Already quite round and resolved. Pretty good. 2011-2018
