Lea & Sandeman review
Richly textured Chardonnay with some fairly obvious oak, but not so much that you would say it is oaky.Other reviews and comments
The 2008 Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay has moderately pronounced citrus, apple and pear aromas with some meal, buttered toast and crushed stones. Crisp, medium-full bodied with a wonderfully silky texture, it gives plenty of yeasty / toastiness in the mouth and a long minerally finish. Delicious now, it should continue to cellar through 2014+. Drink: 2011 - 2014
91/100
