Lea & Sandeman review
This is the signature red wine of the Glenelly Estate, a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak 'barriques' (Taransaud), using a combination of new, second and third fill barrels for a total of eighteen months. A very beautifully perfumed wine which immediately strikes you for both its vibrancy and elegance. Sweet spice, tight fruit tannins and a touch of vanillin from the oak combine to make a really exciting and great value wine from the Cape which will quickly find a place in the International market.
