With a blend that is half Cabernet Sauvignon, half Merlot, this is as rich as the year. The weight of fruit is borne by sweet tannins and layers of wood toast. The Paloumey 2009 has a very fragrant bouquet with fresh strawberry, redcurrant and a touch of vanilla. Very fine definition and lift. When Martine Cazeneuve purchased Château Paloumey in 1990, she took up the challenge of reviving a prestigious and forgotten terroir located next to the famous Château la Lagune and Cantemerle. Replanting the vineyard and rebuilding the cellars have been a tremendous challenge for Martine, her aim was to achieve the highest quality possible for Paloumey wines. After years of hard work, commitment and passion, the estate was brought back to life and now extends over 32 hectares. Elegant in style, this is one of the greatest wine of the Haut-Medoc AOC.
