Lea & Sandeman review
Distinctive wine with deep purple dark colour and deep-flavoured fruit and sophisticated élevage in a proportion of new wood. The oak is well-integrated, and the ripe black fruit flavours are already opening up nicely. A well placed property in the Mazeris sector and the terroir shows in this sophisticated wine. The owner, who goes under the very French name of Dabudyk, is also part-owner of the vineyard which makes Lea & Sandeman Bordeaux. He himself came from Burgundy, and trained at Dijon, and he retains a desire to pick not too late so the wine retains freshness.
