2009 CHIANTI CLASSICO Poggerino
||Origin: Italy, Tuscany
Lea & Sandeman review
One hundred percent Sangiovese, and aged only in used oak barrels, this has all the usual hallmarks of Poggerino, with rich concentration of fruit, pronounced minerality, and very precise flavours which give extraordinary length. This is a wine built both for the medium term and most definitely for drinking with a fat, juicy, grilled steak.
Other reviews and comments
Radda in Chianti. 100% Sangiovese. Mid ruby with broader rim. Savoury, almost minerally core with hints of dried cherry. Very fine and elegant and grippy at the same time. (WS)

A good honest Chianti Classico from a certified organic and biodynamic producer. Bright and honest with fresh and juicy cherry characters both on the nose and the palate.
