Lea & Sandeman review
Sixty to eighty year old vines in Corgoloin, in a lieu-dit called Les Chaillots. Real old vine density combined with a robust Nuits Saint Georges fruit character. Mineral and driven, with a deep crushed cherry and damson fruit.
Other reviews and comments
There was quite a pronounced whiff of struck match on this old-vine Pinot Noir, but not enough to have us worried. The whiff aside, we were very taken with the intensity of the violet and cherry fruit, the fullness in the mouth and the finesse of the tannins.

Charles has unearthed an absolute gem from the Nuits St Georges hinterland. A wonderful estate run by Belgian Burgundy enthusiasts - father and son, Mark and Gilles Moustie - who went from family holidays spent among the vines to tending some vines of their own. Whenever we've shown these wines just lately they have met with excited praise.
This case contains a trio of the awesome 2009's that drew us to the estate in the first place, along with a slightly more measured 2008 for contrast.
