Lea & Sandeman review
A clos (walled vineyard) of old vines on a steep south-facing slope in Arcenant, above Nuits Saint Georges. Very dark, dense and mineral. Still a little tight but opens up nicely. There is so much here: real punch and aromatic complexity, with a long cherry-skin finish.
Other reviews and comments
Restrained on the nose, but juicy, scented, summery red fruit on the palate with an elegant mineral underlay and notably silky tannins. The clos – walled vineyard – is owned by a Belgium family who used to holiday in the region and were so bitten by the Burgundy bug they bought some vines and a house with cellars. We know how they feel, we just haven't got the vineyard. Yet.
