2009 LA REMISE Rouge Domaine de la Mordorée
2009 LA REMISE Rouge Domaine de la Mordorée
| Grapes: Merlot Marselan | Origin: France, Vin de France |
Lea & Sandeman review
Full bodied ripe fruit with a note of sweet spice, this will make a great accompaniment to barbequed and grilled food.Other reviews and comments
Made from Merlot and Marselan. The colour is deep red, the aromas floral (violet, peony) and fruity (blueberry, blackcurrant). It has a fresh, smooth feel. With its exceptional resistance to oxidation (characteristic of Marselan), it will remain pleasant a long time after opening the bottle.

"Dark, with good dark fruit expression too, while remaining no more than medium-bodied. Dry like a Bordeaux, spicy from Syrah, with an elegance and nicely defined whiff of black pepper. Really attractive, drinkable wine for a very sensible price."

"In a big tasting in the L&S offices of some significantly more expensive wines which failed to pass the test, this stood out, much as the 2009 had done, for its unforced elegance. OK it's a simple country wine, but it is done with such panache, and both of us just went 'well, we can imaging drinking this no problem'. Supple and mid-weight, juicy and with a good core of dry black fruit, it is perfect all year round satisfying mid-week wine."
