2009 MONTESSU Agricola Punica

Lea & Sandeman review
Blend of 60% Carignano and 10% each Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, each vinified separately and then aged fifteen months in new French oak 'barriques'. Fragrant and fruity this is a lighter (and more easily drinkable) expression of the first wine, Barrua. Sweet liquorice notes and fresh black fruits lead to an elegant, warm finish.Other reviews and comments
Quite a bit of oak but then sweet mellifluous fruit, a bit dry on the end. In Sardinia I’d probably love it!
