Selected Tempranillo (30%), Monastrell (30%) and Garnacha Tintorera (35%) with Syrah grapes, matured 12 months in American casks and 10 months in bottle. Wonderful dark cherry red colour, intense, blackberry, spice & toasted aromas, very full, concentrated, rich wild berry fruit on the palate with finely balanced vanilla undertones, well integrated tannins, great depth with a persistent finish. Bodegas Piqueras

Bodegas Piqueras is situated in the heart of Almansa, a region which is about 100 kilometres inland from Valencia and Alicante. Typically planted with Tempranillo (locally known as Cencibel), Monastrell, Garnacha Tintorera, and more lately Syrah. This is a dry region with low rainfall and mostly planted with bush vines.
