Traditionally the indigenous Mencia grape produces wines which are light and fragrant, not unlike a Beaujolais or Pinot Noir, and best drunk in the region. This is a lovely example, beautifully made, wonderfully fresh and very, very drinkable with a touch more depth than previous vintages. L&S (Oct 2011)

Bodegas Docampo
This family run bodega in Ribeiro was founded in 1928, but has only been bottling their own wines since 1988. With only five hectares of vines they very much specialise in indigenous grape varieties, notably Treixadura and Torrontes.
