The nose is a bit tight with more black fruits than red. The palate starts fresh with an attractive mix of red fruits but there are some sweeter flavours on the back palate and finish. 2014-18 Rating: 91 Derek Smedley MW, www.dereksmedleymw.co.uk (Dec 2013)

Good medium red. Complex, inviting aromas of raspberry, smoked meat, earth, leather and underbrush. Spicy, juicy and precise, with plenty of wild sex appeal and inner-mouth tension to the red fruit and meat flavors. Harmonious acidity and fine-grained tannins give this wine a refined texture for Nuits-Saint-Georges. Rating: 91 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2013)

Good deep, bright red. Aromas of strawberry, minerals, leather and game, lifted by peppery spices. A fat, sweet fruit bomb in the mouth, with complicating notes of smoky minerality, spices and fruity pepper. Finishes firm and long, with pronounced Vosne-side saline minerality. I may be underrating this. Rating: 90 - 92 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Jan 2012)

This is much richer and darker on the aroma. Full and rich on the attack. This has a bigger, more structured palate. This is altogether more interesting with proper premier cru depth on the palate. Dark cherry fruit and a touch of warm chocolate. It is firm, but smooth. Very fresh and balanced. It has very good density and matter and is altogether more complex. Fine. From 2017 Rating: 18 Sarah Marsh MW, The Burgundy Briefing (Jan 2012)
