2010 CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE Prestige Domaine Jean Royer

2010 CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE Prestige Domaine Jean Royer

Grapes: Grenache  Origin: France, Rhône
Lea & Sandeman review
100% Grenache. A much more solid, beefy style than Jean-Marie's 'Tradition', seriously complex and full of potential. The same expressive fruit is here, combined with a rich, savoury density and powerful length.

Tight, backward and primary, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Prestige is loaded with black raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with licorice and a hint of the seaweed wrapper nori as well as garrigue notes. Dense and full, it is a beauty, but it will need 4-5 years of cellaring and should keep for 15+ years. 90 - 93+ Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
