2010 EIDOS DE PADRINAN Albariño Adega dos Eidos
| Grapes: Albariño | Origin: Spain, Rias Baixas |
Lea & Sandeman review
Direct from Galicia, home to some of Europe's best fish dishes which the wines of the region accompany so well. This fabulously well made Albariño has softy peach fruit, bright lemon cut and minerality. Texturally more satisfying than most with a cleaner, drier finish and a distinctive salty tang.Other reviews and comments

a taste of GALICIA
Galicia is the bit of Spain that sticks out over the top of Portugal (but, of course, you knew that). Here the wines are very different to the rest of Spain, the whites are bright crisp aromatic affairs that accompany well the local sea-food based diet, whilst the less-known reds are at the fruitier, fresher end of things. Rioja they, certainly, are not. It was Albariño that put the region on the map internationally, but there is so much more to know. Here's a taste of Galicia, a selection that will charm and refresh, and have you yearning for more.
Alentejo Portugal
"This is 100% Alvarino, and like its Spanish cousins it has a lovely lightness of touch on the palate, a glassy, crystalline clarity in its sliding freshness. Perfect with any kind of fish or seafood, and really great value. "
