2010 GIBBSTON Pinot Noir The Crater Rim

2010 GIBBSTON Pinot Noir The Crater Rim
| Grapes: Pinot Noir | Origin: New Zealand, South Island |
Lea & Sandeman review
Crater Rim's Central Otago Pinot is a fuller bodied style with a good dollop of oak, but still far from being an oaky fruit bomb. Packed with raspberry fruit and mocha it is very attractive indeed.Other reviews and comments
A youthful, but expressive and sophisticated Pinot Noir from from the wetter, western part of Central Otago. Sweet, fresh, raspberry-scented fruit, some chocolate, mocha and vanilla notes from the oak and a soft, clean, satiny texture. The oak is still quite prominent, but it will recede as other flavours emerge.

Fine-boned, fresh, young pinot from Central Otago’s wetter side. The oak is still showing in the chocolate, coffee and vanilla flavours, but just feel that lovely raspberry fruit and silky-smooth texture.
