2010 PINOT GRIGIO Ramato Colli Orientali del Friuli Visintini

2010 PINOT GRIGIO Ramato Colli Orientali del Friuli Visintini
| Grapes: Pinot Grigio | Origin: Italy, Friuli Venezia Giulia |
Lea & Sandeman review
Not stricly a rosé, but 'Ramato' because of its pale copper tinge which comes entirely naturally from the skins of the grapes, although not specified on the label as legislation does not allow. What also sets this remarkable wine apart every vintage is the wonderful texture of fruit that the Visintinis attain in their Pinot Grigio. Beautifully balanced with a mineral acidity making it a really lovely wine and not just another run-of-the-mill Pinot Grigio. All the more attractive in this vintage because of its lower than normal alcohol level.Other reviews and comments
Very very pale pink. Broad and chock full of roundness and flavour. Creamy butter-icing impression. Big!

"Pinot Grigio with real character. Soft, fleshy fruit and bright acidity. Very good all round drinking. So Italian in style yet this hails from just over the border in northern Croatia."
