2010 TOURAINE LES SAUTERELLES Domaine de Pierre

2010 TOURAINE LES SAUTERELLES Domaine de Pierre

Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc  Origin: France, Loire
Lea & Sandeman review
Lionel Gosseaume has taken a lot of trouble to craft this fascinating Sauvignon from 'la Sologne Viticole' an area just east of Tours. Quite a deep colour, a fresh grassy Sauvignon nose, lots of volume and richness on the attack, which is achieved by harvesting some early for freshness, some later for the fuller fruit flavours, and then working the 'fine bourbes' (grape pulp sediment) and lees. It retains a minty freshness on the finish from the part that is harvested early.
