The nose is packed with fruit the rich black fruits backed by fresher red. The ripeness of the fruit gives mid richness and sweetness of flavour the fleshy blackcurrant underpinned by mulberry. The finish is deep with lots of rich fruit and flavours that linger. 2014-22 Rating: 94 Derek Smedley MW, www.dereksmedleymw.co.uk (Dec 2013)

Good bright, deep red. Penetrating aromas of red cherry and rose petal. Superb cut and purity to the juicy flavors of red berries, cherry and minerals. Conveys a very strong impression of inner-mouth perfume and energy. Finishes with terrific building length and a firm spine of ripe acidity. Built for a slow and long evolution in bottle. Rating: 93 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2013)

It is mineral, fresh, very lively, light and racy. Rather and elegant and zesty Echézeaux; A slight and lively wine. Not quite enough depth in the middle palate for grand cru maybe. Nicely sustained, but not quite the complexity in the middle palate. Fine. Rating: 18 Sarah Marsh MW, The Burgundy Briefing (Feb 2012)

(25% vendange entier): Good full red. Pungent aromas of raspberry, crushed stone and white pepper. Enters with intense raspberry and spices, then turns firm and floral in the middle, showing superb energy and sappiness to the primary red fruit and mineral flavors. With its saline impression of extract and strong tannic spine, this should evolve in bottle for couple of decades. Rating: 92-95 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Feb 2012)
