Higher toned aromatics of cherries, tar, liquorice, roses, touch of sweetness. Palate has flesh but then lovely aromatics of cherries, liquorice, meat, ripe tannic grip, bright acidity and wood notes on the finish. L&S (Nov 2015)

The 2011 Barolo Terlo is an attractive, mid-weight offering made to be enjoyed a bit earlier than the estate's single-vineyard Barolos. Shorter fermentations bring out the fresher side of Nebbiolo, with lively sweet red berry fruit and floral notes in abundance. Rose petals, hard candy, spices and mint add further nuance as the wine continues to open up.
