Really a taut eau de vie style. Floral and mineral. Lovely example. Perfect balance and a sense of the scent and texture of dark fresh rose petals. L&S (Dec 2012)

Dried rose petals, sweet raspberries, tobacco and mint flesh out in the 2011 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes. Pliant and expressive, the Vieilles Vignes possesses gorgeous depth and pure volume, not to mention fabulous overall balance. What a gorgeous wine this is. Drinking range: 2015 - 2026 Rating: 92 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Mar 2014)

Bright medium red. Good floral lift to the aromas of redcurrant and cherry. Juicy, ripe, silky and seamless. In a distinctly round style but with no shortage of concentration or energy. Finishes with good length. This, too, offers considerable early appeal. Rating: 90 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2014)

Bright red-ruby. Attractive perfumed lift to the aromas of blackberry and violet. Good density in the mouth, with a slightly peppery quality contributing cut to the black fruit and coffee flavors. Finishes with a light tart edge but good length and grip. Rating: 88-90 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Feb 2013)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
