Quite pale but beautifully bright and energetic style with a savoury edge. Supple enough, but so pure. Tense, mouthwatering. L&S (Dec 2012)

Perrot Minot's 2011 Morey-Saint-Denis La Rue de Vergy is bright, focused and nicely delineated. Crushed rocks, plums, mint, licorice and orange peel burst from the glass in an energetic, vibrant Morey with tons of near-term appeal but also plenty of ability to develop nicely in bottle. The 2011 is crystalline and energetic from start to finish. 2015-2023 Rating: 91 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Apr 2014)

Good medium red. Wild, sexy aromas of redcurrant and andouillette. Intensely flavored, supple and spicy, with moderate depth to the red fruit and mocha flavors. A bit of unabsorbed CO2 gives the wine lift today. This is pretty tasty right now. Rating: 89 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (Mar 2014)

A more elegant nose offers up ultra-pure notes of violets, herbal tea, red and blue pinot fruit trimmed in a discreet hint of wood. There is good vibrancy to the delicious and well-detailed mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess a refreshing touch of salinity on the balanced, clean and agreeably dry finish. An understated and utterly delicious effort. Drinking range: 2017 - Rating: 89 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2014)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
